Center for Performing Arts Exhibition: The Art of Kreutz, Kristoff, Luconi and Phillips

This is a sensational exhibition full of color and texture! Bill Kreutz, Deborah Bank Kristoff, Fred Luconi and Creighton Phillips use everything at their disposal from contemporary, urban graffiti street art techniques to symbolic found object collage. From fiery pastels to sensual oil paintings this exhibition combines the best of all approaches resulting in captivating imagery.

For this exhibition artists are encouraged to submit works of art that explore the freedom of the imaginary. Suitable topics include the unconscious mind, aspiration, longing, and fantasy. How do we distinguish the world of our dreams or the unconscious mind from the “real” world?

Depth Cues

This reception is in conjunction with a Campus Wide Open House & Empty Bowls Event
Location: Center for Visual Arts, 26100 Old 41 Rd
Depth Cues are the visual devices that suggest the illusion of space within the two-dimensional picture plane. Examples include overlap, relative size, vertical location, saturation, atmospheric and linear perspective. While depth cues can be used to create virtual three-dimensional space, the rules can also be reversed to flatten pictorial space.
